About Us
Our Family & Faith
At Chosen Vessel Pottery, our craft is deeply rooted in family and faith. I'm grateful to be married to Lorrie, my wonderful partner in life. Together, we've raised four amazing adult children, all of whom have chosen to follow the Lord with their lives. Beyond the studio, I have the privilege of serving as the Pastor of Needhams Grove Baptist Church. Our pottery business is truly a family endeavor, built on shared values and a commitment to creating with purpose.

Our Pottery Journey
Our studio is nestled in the heart of Seagrove, North Carolina, a town proudly known as the "Pottery Capital of the U.S." It's here, amidst a rich heritage of ceramic artistry, that we handcraft every piece. We specialize in functional stoneware, designed not just for beauty, but for everyday use. All of our pottery is food safe, microwave safe, and completely lead-free, ensuring it brings both joy and peace of mind to your home. Each mug, bowl, and plate is a reflection of our dedication to quality and the timeless tradition of Seagrove pottery.

Pottery in Ministry
For me, pottery is more than just a craft; it's a powerful extension of my ministry. The lessons learned at the wheel often find their way into my sermons, drawing parallels between the potter and God's interaction with our lives. I frequently speak at camps and serve as a special speaker at conferences, where I love to share messages of faith. A unique aspect of my ministry involves using the pottery wheel to preach a sermon directly from Jeremiah 18, illustrating the profound imagery of the potter's house and God's compassionate care and interaction with His children. It's a vivid demonstration of how God molds and shapes us, just as a potter shapes the clay.
